comfortable full faced helemts
I'm looking to purchase a full face helmet. i haven't been able to leave the house and head over to the motorcycle gear shop lately. so i figure i ask here. i was browsing online looking at some nice helmets. they can get quite pricey. i don't know if its the graphics, the snell and dot inspection and or comfort. they dont rate them on the sites and i was just wondering if someone could enlighten me about that. i do think its more important for the helmet to be comfortable then stylish overall. thank you.
You should really try and find a way to get to the motorcycle shop. Not all helmet sizes are created equal, all the brands fit a little differently depending on the shape of your head.
Your best bet is to go to the store and try on a few different brands and sizes until you find one that fits you best. It should fit snug but not too tight. If you feel any pressure points or it leaves a big red mark on your forehead than its probably too tight. On the other hand...you dont want it to be too loose to the point that it flops around on your head.
I really like HJC. I got the CL-15 and im happy with it. DOT and Snell approved, decent vents and my glasses fit underneath. It was about $150 if I remember correctly.
But try before you buy, or if you insist on taking a leap of faith and ordering one online...make sure they have a good return/exchange policy.

I just bought a new helmet, I love it. Nice and snug, but not too tight. Very easy to breath, and a lot of ventalation.
