A bit late but here goes

Even though I've been sniffing around for a couple of weeks now I thought I would take the time to say hello. My biking experience has been a bit of a crazy one.
A little over a month ago my wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I really had no idea so after a while she started suggesting a few things. One of the suggestions was Motorbike lessons, my response was "wow, really?....sure!" Two weeks later and I'm booked in for the MSF course about an hour's drive away. I had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I found it strange that half of the people who owned bikes just bought them new and hadn't even ridden before.. what is that about.
I got the riding bug bad. Only two weeks later after taking the state test and getting the motorcycle endorsement, I bought a bike!
A 2003 Honda shadow spirit 750 (11k miles). I was very excited to get her home, so excited in fact, I accidentally rode the wrong bike home from the dealership. (I swear they all looked a like
)
Here she is:

I've been riding for about 3 weeks now and I love it. So much so I don't even want to drive into work anymore. The 70 degree Arkansas mornings are beautiful for riding.
Couple of things I've noticed since riding.
You can really feel the heat and cold changes in the air as you're riding
Road kill really stinks
Riding at 70mph is..... scary.
Bottom line I looove riding
