say you guys are just riding to the gym or the store or something, do you still wear all your gear? and if you do, do you take it off before you go inside? where do you put it all?

Always wear all the gear.

When I take the bike to the gym, I wear my normal biking clothes (kevlar jeans, leather or mesh jacket, gloves, helmet, boots) and toss a gym bag with my gym clothes on the passenger seat, held down with a bungee net. I put the helmet on the helmet lock and gloves in the saddlebag then change into my gym clothes in the locker room.

Yes, I wear it all. Pain in the butt sometimes but yes, always.
Going inside I leave it on except for the helmet most times (too hot, stifling and you never know if the storekeep thinks you're gonna rob him  )
Usually carry it to the workout area or class or use a locker (but helmet doesn't fit in the lockers so I carry it)

I wear jacket, gloves, and helmet. Boots, too (not quite motorcycle boots, haven't gotten those yet). Regular pants.

I suit up for every ride. I had parked my bike at my friend's apartment and had taken everything off when he told me I had to move the bike to a visitor lot, which was less than 100 yards away, but it involved getting back onto the main road - so, reluctantly, I suited back up again.

This is just me - unless all I have to do is powerwalk the bike, I never ride without a helmet, gloves, boots, or jacket.

Full gear, each and every time... and it can be painful, when it's so hot outside. The last thing you want to do after a workout is put all that gear back on, but both my husband and I do. I read somewhere that most accidents happen 6 minutes from your home, so you never know where or when something can happen. I lug my gym clothes in my backpack.

Full gear. Always. Even if I'm just going a few miles down the road.

I carry my helmet. Gloves in my helmet. If its really hot I get a cart at the grocery store and put my jacket in it. Normally I just wear the jacket. If I was at the gym I'd take it all inside and put it in a locker or whatever. I have no clue how gyms are set up.
