Suzuki GS500e help

#1 Unread post by bk_gs500 »

I have a 91 suzuki gs500e that won't stay started. As long as I keep the choke on it will run, once I lower the choke it stalls out. Please help I am clueless.

Adjust the idle air screw. If that doesn't help, you may need to pull the carbs and clean them, could be a plugged pilot jet.

I tried the idle screw left and right but either way it didn't make a difference.

Trust me rebuild the carbs. The pilot jets are more than likely clogged. The pilot jets control your idle and low speed. Plus make sure you clean the passages or clean jets will not make a differance.
