Finding a used bike in NJ - Am I SOL?

Hi Everyone,
I've been trying to find a used Honda or Yamaha at the recommendations of some of my friends here in NJ. I've checked a bunch of places but mostly everyone seems to have no inventory, nobody has any 250 ccs.
My friends tell me I'm probably SOL because it's so late in the season everyone bought their bikes already. I tried Cycle Trader and Ebay Motors as well.
Anyone have any advice?

Craigslist is always the first place I look.

Don't buy used from a dealership if you can help it.
There are a lot of bikes on Craigslist and Ebay in the North NJ/NY area. There will probably be more as it gets closer to the end of the season.

Thanks
I thought the same way, since it was close to the end of the season more and more bikes would be piling up. I guess I'll keep checking the sites daily and hopefully something will turn up

I bought my nike 3 years ago from an e-bay listing. Bike was in Lake Hopatcong.
Watch E-Bay for local listings amd contact the buyer for a visit.
Don't buy anything without looking at it in person first.

Yamaha + 250cc = Virago 250.
Like this one, maybe?

Hopatcong shouldn't be too far away, like right over the line from Morris Co. If that one isn't suitable, just keep watching Craigslist.

Just keep checking the north jersey craigslist, there are lots of bikes that are posted every day.
What kind of bike are you looking for? If you just want an old cheap bike to learn on, I have an '82 Honda 450 that I am thinking about selling in a month or so.

I live in North Jersey too, and it took me a REALLY long time to find a good used beginner friendly bike, like everyone else has said craigslist (where i got mine from) is best bet.
