Hello
,
I'm an Alabama retiree who's been riding since....well...uhm...around 40 years, mebbe? I started on a Honda 100 in the late 60's as far as motorcycles go, but, I had fallen off a few home-made scooters prior to that. My most recent activity concerning 1-up entertainment, however, has been restricted to drooling over the new Harley's in the local showroom. Now that I'm retired, I've started getting ideas about realizing a few of my dreams which lean very much toward building a bike from the drive train up. I have experience working with metal fabrication from since just after I started walking & have been keeping up with the latest innovations in the MC world as best I can. That makes for a dangerous combination when it comes to pent up ideas about possible designs. Since I can't imagine anyone of a similar mind not having asked themself 'What if I did this or changed that?', I'm sure that they could easily relate to my current frame of mind and possible future endeavors.
In any case, I intend to do a lot research before I make any big decisions & that may very well involve visiting here quite a bit. While I have extensive experience with metal fab., I know (remember) very little about the mechanical end.
