New York MSF Course = License Question?

I know it differs from state to state but up in New York here, if you pass the MSF course, they waive the DMV road test.

My question is, are you handed a temporary card or something they give you after you pass so you can start riding that day?

Or do you have to wait until your license is mailed to you from the State before you actually can go out and ride??

that sucks.........i have owned my first bike for over 2 months while my neighbor has been teaching me how to ride.

i have not had the balls to go out bymyself with just a permit even though 90% of riders do it.

taking course this weekend and i was planning on getting some sort of paper authorizing me to be on the road sunday.

this sucks..........maybe i will just go riding anyways....i heard the fine for out of class license is not much anyways.

as eager as you are, I wouldn't do it. is that what you're gonna tell you're insurance company? "90% of the people do it"
