It's been hot here so about 7:00am I was cutting through the city, I-635N to I-70W out to the racetrack and north on I-435

to cross the river and get to MO-45.
Image
North to St.Joseph the road runs along the lower part of the bluff with a flood plain about a mile to the river. Lots of corn and beans

growing.
Image
At Beverly the road rises to meet the bluff, entering the rolling hill country Missouri is known for. Skirting Weston and the tobacco

farms with their drying barns,

then back down to the flood plain, north to the intersection with US-59. I pulled into the lot with the small cafe, The Broken Spoke.
Image
I ordered two eggs, hashbrown potatoes with cheese and onions, toast, and orange juice. I got all that and 4 link sausage. I like this

place. On north to the south end of St. Joseph I cut over to the Boulevard which is a curvy parkway through the city, I head up to King

Hill for the view

then back to the Boulevard. This section is fun even at 30 to 40 KPH.
Image
I end up at 22nd Street. I turn south and the city falls away. The highway signs call the road 371 and it winds its way through each

small town it encounters. About a mile west of I-29 not many travel this road anymore, but I like hills and curves and little towns. The

smell of the cut hay.
Image
Finding a covered bridge that some farmer bought when it was to be replaced, and rebuilt at the side of the road.
Image
The corn looks good too.
Image
When I left the house it was 27°, when I got to St. Joseph it was 34° and when I got home it was 38°.

Nice trip report and pics. 38C is a bit toasty for riding for me, since I won't ride without gear.

What year is your Conks?
