Has anyone known anyone who died on their motorcycle?

What was the best way to go? Anyone in their later years who went into the sunset at 140 mph?? Anyone decide they don't want to die frail and weak?

wrong way on the freeway in the emergency lane to build up as much speed as possible. turn in front of a semi would be easy and painless im sure. if you plan to do it use a junker bike and let me have yours(if its decent so it doesnt go to waste)

I'm not game for suicide in general, but doing it on a bike seems extra selfish.

You know someone's gonna have to come clean up your mess (you, that is) after you're done? And no one will ever discover that bike of yours years from now under a dusty cover in the back of a barn somewhere and fall in love with riding it.

To each his own, I guess.

A few years ago an Iron Butt rider died of a heart attack while riding his Honda ST1100. That's about as quick and painless as it gets.

How is that painless? He'd be having the heart attack as he skids across pavement. Seems rather painful to me.

What did that trucker ever do to you?(the hypothetical you). Why would you want to messup some poor guy just doing his job for the rest of his life? Put yourself in the trucker's place.... you just killed someone with your truck..... sure, it was all his doing, but you still have to live with the vivid memory of some shmucks internal organs splattered all over your windshield.... and the knowlage that you killed another human being. And remembering it every time you go to work, drive anyplace or close your eyes. Killing someone is not something most normal people can just shrug off.

IF a hypotheical anyone ever decides to snuff themselves, please try to hold onto a modicome of decency and don't involve an innocent bystander to help you do it. If you have the balls to kill yourself, have the balls to do it yourself and not ruin some others persons life doing it.

But don't kill yourself..... any pusssy can do that. It takes real 'nads to keep plugging away at living everyday.

i dont think the trucker would be that tramatized really. knowing it was all the riders fault would leave a clean state of mind. if i was the trucker i wouldnt care if it happend in that situation.

if the person wanting to die is that worried then a nice brick wall would be just as good. but then what happens if the person that built the wall found out you used it to kill yourself? hed feel bad. or the poor guy that helped build your bike would regret building something that was used to kill someone. same could go for a gun,knife, etc. any action will effect someone in the end to a degree. noone knows if it will be good or negative.

the trucker might be tramatized and never drive a truck again, which could turn out to be good for some one else. he might take up a new career as a ambulance driver and save peoples lives... you never know. by not having the incident with the motorcycle he might fall asleep and kill a bus full of innocent kids.

Coming from someone who thinks we should be trying everything possible to heal a person who crashed without a helmet. Or someone who was ejected from a car because they weren't wearing a seatbelt.
Stop and think about that for a second. Imagine if someone stuck their foot under your tire (on purpose) while you were driving. Would you feel bad at all? I mean you just crushed this guys foot, he'll never walk the same. He might have done it to yourself, but if you'd been a little faster on the brake you might have saved his foot. Ultimately you're responsible. You did this to him.
Now imagine you're at the firing range and lining up a shot when all of a sudden someone jumps in front of you. You shoot them in the head and they die instantly... are you telling me that isn't going to affect you? I mean you're going to literally have blood on your hands, you pulled the trigger that ended a life.
I've hurt my friends before by accident. We've done a lot of stupid stuff in our time, but I've always felt bad. I've had them hurt themselves around me, and I've felt bad. I cannot imagine what would happen if I killed someone. I'm pretty sure I'd fall apart.
You say that he might go on to better things, but the truth is that most people wouldn't recover from something like that. It isn't that he wouldn't want to. With videogames these days it's easy to think that we're inured to violence, but death... death is still a powerful thing. And even joking about it is not funny.
