Just came across this forum and will spend some time reading your posts and stories. I'm a geezer rider, having had my first bike in 1949 (a 47 Indidan). Due to managing a family in my ealry and middle years I wasn't riding until about 15 yrs ago when I got back in with a Goldwing. later I upgraded to a newer Goldwing but eventually wanted a V-twin to play with. I got a Suzuki Intruder to be my fun-bike but then I saw this green flame painted Yamaha V-star 1100 custom in the used bike row. I traded off the Suzi and $$ for it, then began taking stock stuff off and putting catalog stuff on it. Now it's almost got nothing that says Yamaha on it, Purists know what it is but others have to ask. So I have fun by answering" It's one of them moter-sickles". While in the midst of that stuff I also owned another Suzi for a while but since I got it for re-sale, I turned it over and then I got an almost new Honda VTX 1300. I finally sold my Goldwing but maybe that was a mistake. I didn't like the VTX so I sold that too, and bought a 99 Road King, so now I am down to 2 bikes The Harley and the V-Star. The area where I live in Florida is in N central part. Good weather to ride in, flat country so no hills to get stopped in the middle of. I came onto this forum to post a message about getting worked over by a poor quality shop in this area, near Occala. So, If you see that posting, it's about CYCLWERKS owned by AL Pallazzo.
