While I've already made a couple of posts in the New Bikers forum, I figured I should introduce myself here, too.

I'm a guy in my early 40's (that's too young for mid-life crisis, right?) who's getting back into riding after being away from it for 18 (too many) years.

The wife is not thrilled, but she knows I'm a good driver, and the 14 mpg that my truck gets while commuting has helped convince her that getting a
bike "just makes sense".

So anyways, I'm excited to be getting on a bike again, and I am loving these forums!

Oh, and bonus points if you're not from WA state and can (correctly) pronounce where I'm from (Puyallup).

Welcome to the forums! I'm originally from Oregon, but live in here now, so I guess that takes me out of the running for the points.

:welcome: to the TMW community from :canada:

Not only do I know how to pronounce Puyallup...I've ridden through there.

I can also pronounce Tulalip.

So-o-o-o-o, how many bonus points do I get?

Welcome.

We all use similar excuses. MPG - funds itself as it doesn't pay tolls on the bridge (£120 month). My gap was 22 yrs.

But it is great to be back in the saddle, isn't it.
