...in canada?

A couple of the canadian members are saying milk comes in bags on another forum. It's this just a provincial thing, or is it country wide? And wtf, bags? They tried that in like 1st grade, it ended with milk guns and soaked lunches. How do you reseal them?

It's country wide. You decant the milk into a sealed container if your kids take it in their lunchbox. You don't reseal the bag, but you do try to drink it before it goes stale.

And if you think that's weird, milk in Germany comes in boxes that you don't put in the fridge until after they've been opened. They're kept on a shelf with dry goods at the store...

All the milk that we buy here in Alberta comes in cartons or jugs, from 1/2 litre up to 4L. Only place that I have seen milk in bags around here is in the food service industry.

But I have seen bagged milk around here too. Of course I was hella young when that happened.

Must be an Eastern Canada thing, then...

Never noticed it lately but I know we had bags, I gues I'll have to go look now...

We have stuff like that here, but no one ever buys it. I had it once and threw up within hours of drinking it. I was maybe 10?

I used to occasionally wind up with some dehydrated milk. You know...that powder you pour milk on...to get milk.

And some er...... Faucet milk so to speak.

ohhhh and some hand churned faucet buttermilk from an old lady with a cow up the road a ways from my grandparents. mmmm. Real buttermilk will make you kill people. Real buttermilk and cornbread could lead to evil overlordship.

Remind me never to buy you a beer. I can only imagine what would happen then...

Bagged milk seems to appear here in BC every few years, here one day and gone the next.
