How do I adjust the idle on my xj650? I can't find anything is the book and I don't think you do it by playing with the choke cable, but I could be wrong.

If I remember correctly you look down under the carbs towards the air cleaner side and somewhere in the centre you should see a plastic knob that you can turn to adjust the idle for all the carbs at once. Have a careful look in that area....be sure to adjust your idle when the engine is at operating temperature. If it's not in the centre then usually it's located on the outside carb.

Found it, in the centre at the bottom of the carbs.
