A 2nd bike

So far I have $0 to spend on a 2nd bike, and I currently have no job.
The bike I have now is a Ninja 250. I've had it for about 2 months and put around 1300 miles on it. I use it more for commuting than for actual fun. Mainly because its more fun riding with other people, and I don't know any other bikers around my age (16). So, once I get a job and build up some money, I think I would have put another 4 or 5 months into my "learners" bike.
I also need some inspiration, so picking a 2nd bike now will make me WANT to get a job instead of procastinating any further.
So.. heres what I'm looking for (a sport bike).
I don't race, but I like lots of torque.
Something with decent gas milage
Fun in the city
I don't like bending over too far so a standard instead of a sport would be fine.
Cheap on insurance and easy to maintain
Good looking
So far the most powerful bike I've looked at is the Z750 (it looks great and it has an upright position seating style). The most promising bike I've looked at is the Ninja 650r. I heard it has a lot of low end torque which makes it great for city riding. Any other recomendations would be helpful.
