Icon Mainframe helmet shield removal

#1 Unread post by tigerclaw50 »

I just got a helmet from a friend and I don't have the instructions for it. How do I get the shield off. It is an icon mainframe. Thanks in advance

I think mine is a Mainframe, so I'll give it a shot. Open the shield all the way. Near the hinge, with the shield open, just under the shield, is a small tab of plastic sticking out. If you push it away from the hinge, it should click open. There is actually an "O" and a "C" on the plastic with an arrow showing which way to push the little tab (lever). Once it is in the open position, you just wiggle the shield and it should pop off. To install you just line up the notches on the shield with the matching shape on the shield ends, and move the levers to closed position.

Hope that helps.
