Removing battery from 02 yamaha r6

Haven't gotten a manual yet so.. how do I get to the battery? I'm used to doing it on my parents harleys.. its clearly visible and takes 2mins to get it on the charger. I believe its under the seat?

Yes its under the riders seat. Look behind the rear corners of the seat for allen bolts. Take them off and the seat will come off. The battery is just held in there by a rubber strap. Unscrew the wires to the battery and unstrap the battery and it will come right out. Good luck. Try the
