When to let the kids ride.

#1 Unread post by mcneese5 »

Hey all this is probably something that has been discussed before but for the sake of us new guys here to the forum, lets bring it up again. When did you let your kids start riding as passengers or have you even let them ride. Just wondering. Thanks

First check the law in your state.

At the least, a child must be able to use both foot pegs AND hold onto the rider securely. They also must be mature enough to follow instructions and UNDERSTAND the consequences of not being a safe pillion.

ALSO a child must have correctly fitting protective gear. Especially the helmet. Plonking on mom or dad's old helmet is NOT acceptable and could result in more harm than wearing nothing at all.
