Why not to listen to the wife

So, I woke up the other day with my wife on the internet saying "Hey today would be a great day to ride to work!" without giving it another look I jumped on my bike and started my 35 mile drive to work. I get 1/2 way there and a light sprinkel starts no problem except for that bald front tire I meant to change last week. Well not turning back now, then it starts to rain. OK,OK only 7 more miles to work I'll get there. When I get off the freeway it starts to pour down rain, I look up at the sky and asked him if he was trying to tell me something. I get to work completely soaked got off glad I was there. Atleast it dried out by morning (me and the roads)and had a nice ride home.

Been there as well. The lesson that I learned was to always check the weather forcast yourself! I ride rain or shine so, I always carry rain gear with me.

Same here, although I'm in need of some water proof boots. Covering my socks with zip lock bags can't last forever.

I bought a pair of "Willie G's" from the local Harley dealer, (Trev Deeley)best purchase I made that year. Gortex and I don't think my feet have been wet on the bike since I got them. They have a baffle tongue and front laces, with a side zipper for easy on/off. I spayed them with a leather protectant when I bought them, and polished them with good ol' shoe polish, done nothing since...

This example is from Heritage Harley's site. Located in Edmonchuk...

Thanks dr_bar. I recently bought some Icon Field Armor though, so I have to test them out in the wet. If they fail the rain test, then I at least have some boots with armor.

turns out she was looking at the morning forecast, not what was looking at the 30 min away forecast (atleast that is what she told me :? )
