I was looking at an 07 Honda Shadow Spirit C2 today and the tag on it was talking about it having "final shaft drive". But, I looked down and it has a chain.

My question is what is the difference between "shaft drive" and "final shaft drive"...if there is a difference at all.

thanks
eric

They're the same thing. Just a way of phrasing it.

There are a couple of different Honda Shadow's likely someone just put the wrong tag on the bike.

I think the VLX600's might be shaft driven....but I could be wrong.

that's probably it... they do have alot in a row so, I'm sure they just put the wrong tag on it.

thanks

According to the Honda website,

http://powersports.honda.com/motorcycle ... d=VT750C27

The 07 Shadow VT750C2 is shaft drive.

If you check, the Shadow Spirit VT750DC is chain Driven.

So the tags or model # on the tag was wrong.

A little confusing as both bikes share a Model name.

Heh heh. Unless they're trying to give you the shaft.

The very first Shadow 750s were shafties in '83. Since then, Honda hasn't been able to make up their minds.
