Heys, my name is Richard i am 18 years old now turned in September and i decided to join this forum to acutally learn about bikes, their specs, parts and many more by you interesting people!

I currently have no motocycle... :frusty: But i am looking forward to getting on really soon... About a year to save up for it. I don't know what to purchase and how to identify what is good, and what is not. So if you would like to please post some pictures and bikes with specs and even though i might not understand much i will write back to ya's! By the way, i am mostly into sport bikes like kawasaki ZX-14 and etc... But others like classics will be great too!

Wells, peace =)!

Welcome aboard

If you start looking for a bike now, it could take a year to find the deal you want anyway and the year will go by fast just test riding bikes. You will find people who will let you test their rides. Now to be honest I might be a little relunctant with an 18 year old (let's say a son of a friend), but if I got to know you I might let you test ride it. Good luck on your journey.

Welcome to the weird and wonderful world of motorcycling from you Northern Commonwealth Cousins. :canada:

Just a word of advice, you may want to set your sights a tad bit lower then a Kawasaki ZX-14 as your first bike, say to something like a Kawasaki Ninja 250.

True i mean, that would be nice to start with something like the zx-14! I mean not in reality ofcourse. Hmmm yehs the ninja 250 is very nice =) Thanks for the advice.
And by the way, i don't really know what i have to do for this... but in AUS on your learners you can only ride a 250cc or under bike >.< ( I know it's crap huh ! ) And i guess bikes like 2008 Suzuki hayabusa GSX1300R is way out of range for now... But yehs, can you help me with purchasing of a bike 250cc and under, catergorised below the sport bike section? Mainly Yamaha, Suzuki and kawasaki? Thanks in advance!

From your options, I'd suggest the 2008 Ninja 250r. It is the sexiest thing I've seen in such a small package (at least here in the states).

No I am not from Australia but would like to go there sometime. Maybe by the time you have bike I can make it out there and we can go for a ride if I can rent one. If your ever in Texas drop a line here and we can meet up.
