Hey everyone. i got my hyosung gt250 2008!.......but...dropped it within the first 5min. due to taking a really tight U turn(but it was more my fault). i'm now getting the hang of it a little now, but then i snapped my left mirror when it went down.

you guys know where i can get a replacement? and i am just practicing in closed parking lots at this time, so should i take off my right mirrors too? so i don't bust them up? cause i've only fallen once. i'd like to say that will be the last time, but who knows. thanks again.

First off, have you been to the MSF Basic Rider Course? They've got plenty of beater bikes that you can drop repeatedly. And if you have, check to see if your local MSF folks have a Skilled Rider Course. Which is basically the riding portion of the BRC, but it only costs like 75 bucks and I'm sure that's less than the cost of fixing mirrors, lights, and footpegs on your new baby.

Second, I'd call the dealer and get a price buying the parts from them and having them put it on VS. bringing in your own parts. Then do some searching on the net to see if you can get a better price. Of course, in some states, you only need one mirror. Check the AMA site to see if your state is one of them.

+1 to the BRC or similar courses.

If your mirror has a common threading then you can order one online cheaper than the dealer part. If it's just screwed on, head the the hardware store and see if it's 8 or 10 mm threading and which way it turns. Then check some online stores for a similar threading. I'm not sure what the standards are but I'm sure someone here will chime in eventually.

Also, while many states allow you to get away with one mirror, they typically require the left side mirror.
