A day at the races (UPDATED W/VIDEO

I went to Aonia Pass yesterday to watch the dirt track and the vintage motocross races. The dirt track and the TT races were the 2nd annual Shorty Barr Memorial races. Named so for my grandfather who was dirt track racer for most of his life and a member of the Atlanta Motorcycle Club. (if you look on the first page there you will see my uncles, they are in the red shirts.) So anywho, here are a few pics. Unfortunatly my brother has all the good pics on his camera.
My grandfathers Tiger

My uncles 53 AJS that for some reason he didn't race yesterday.

Starting gate for the vintage MX

Action shots of the dirt track. Not sure what classes.

It was an interesting day. I ended up being a flag man in the first corner for all the dirt track practices and races. I passed along flag duty to my uncle for the TT races though.
And just to make the day even more interesting, on the home my bike decided to die while I was doing about ninety down I 20. I pull off the road and it won't start. I got lights I got gas everything but spark it seems. So I give my uncle a call on the cell. He is still at the races for a night endurance run. He says he will get a trailer ready to get me and will call me back in a few minutes. I get off the phone and try one more time to start the bike.
It starts and runs like a dream. Call my uncle to let him know that I am just going to go as far as the bike will take me. Well it took me the rest of the way home with no problems whatsoever.
So that was my experience for the day. A little work, a lotta fun, a little scare and a happy ending. Couldn't ask for more.
