New rider (dont actually have my first bike yet

Nothing wrong with not having a bike yet. That's how the rest of started, after all.

Welcome to TMW! First thing first: get into a beginning rider course - that will do a better job of making you a safe rider than any other way to learn.

Also, check out the sticky posts at the top of the Beginning Riders forum. There's some good info there on what bike to choose as a starter bike.

Have fun, and keep us posted on how you're doing!
