Kind of a smallish V twin for a larger looking bike.
Maybe it just looks big and bulky in the pics.
Throw in either a bigger v twin or a 4 cylinder or something.
Add a manual trans maybe.
Might make for a comfy tourer. Hmmmm....
I don't know, the style kinda grows on you after looking at it for a while but
it just seems kinda scooterish or something. Definitely got to get rid of the CVT.

Personally I think this bike looks awesome. I would love to get a unique looking bike.
All of the sport bikes seem to look the same :\

Not my cup of tea, but I think this would suit a lot of riders. The auto-trans in interesting, but I love being able to control that myself on a bike.

Maybe look at this less as competition for conventional motorcycles, and more as an alternative to the bigger maxi-scooters?
My wife loves her Triumph Trophy for high speed, long-distance riding, but it is top heavy and hard to manage at low speeds. (She had a low speed drop on our ride last weekend - now we're waiting for replacement turn signals from the UK and trying to decide on repair vs. replace for the lower fairing

)
She is interested in adding something lighter, lower, and lower CoG to our stable, and is seriously looking at 400-600cc maxi-scoots. I could see the DN-01 also fitting the bill.

Depending on the seat height compared to your wife's height, I think it would be an excellant bike for her.
I went already this week (on the web) and looked at this, sharp looking bike....

I don't care for the looks of the Honda, but I would totally check out the Aprilla Mana if it came stateside.

I like the look of the bike and the engine isn't too small.
I just hope they keep the design of the concept bike for the release version. Suzuki took the cool looking tail light out of their concept B-King for a weaker one.

I love the looks of the DN-01...If it's ever sold in the U.S., and I'm in the market for a bike, it'll be tops on my list.

I like the look of it, as Brackstone said it looks unique. I don't want a bike that looks like everyone elses.
680cc is plenty. I've never subscribed to the bigger is better theory.
Would I buy one? No, only because of the tranny. Manual tranny is the only way to go for me, car or bike.
