I am going to start looking for new boots. The ones I have had worked out great so far, but I am looking at something that has a little more of a heel/sole on it. The ones I have, don't have much on them and I am will be making some "adjustments" to my seat and will need the extra height to give me the foot grip I want when I am on the bike. In other words, flat footed.

I am not looking for much height, would like them waterproof AND comfortable to walk in at Rallies/events!

Not sure if I can find all, but thought I would ask you all.....

Any suggestions?

If you want comfy boots that can be waterproof and go walking, I can tell you what I'm using now.
Since my idea of fun is to ride out in any weather and go motorcycle camping, especially to a rally or near a neat place where you want to get off the bike and walk, or even hike, I've been using the waterproof Goretex boots made by Harley. Don't laugh, they're called the FXR's, and they have really thick soles but I can still shift and brake in them effortlessly and they are indeed waterproof (6+ hours in a SouthEastern rain on the way to Deal's Gap with no floorboards waterproof!) Now, I had to buy a men's size when I got mine but almost everyone I know who has used the FXR gear, loves it. I wear a (gasp) men's 9 but I think they come smaller than that.
If that's not your style, I've also had good results with anything by Timberland (also in men's sizes) that has full gussetts and Goretex.

Oh yeah, after every long trip I re-treat my Goretex FXR boots with spray-on silicone waterproofer. I hate wet feet!

Sounds good, I looked for them on line....do you have a site that you already have where they might be located or did you purchase in the Harley store?

For the last 2 years, I have been wearing the HD Radiant boot. Can be purchased online or at the HD store.

The are extremely comfy. Have hiked in them on several occasions. Waterproof for "light" moisture environments, but I would not "stand" in water for too long. Only have had one time where my feet were soaked and poured water out of my boot. (That involved a 5 hour trip in pouring rain and water running into my boots from my jeans..

I found my FXR's on Ebay, cheaper even after shipping than buying them from my dealership. Right around $100 I think, and after a year's wearing them camping, I still say they were worth the money.

They ARE WATERPROOF. The leather may get heavy as it saturates but the inside under the Goretex was no more damp than my normal perspiration and was ready for me the next morning. Remember too, that wool socks keep your feet warm even if you sweat in them, and are more forgiving than cotton in new boots. I ride in wool socks all year round. Then I wear the next day's wool socks with my sandals while camping that night, and my boots get a chance to air out.

Yep, that is very true.....gotta get it if it fits 'cause you KNOW that don't happen too often! Especially here when things are so far and few and in between. Alot of times you have to settle for ordering in and then returning it if it doesn't fit......

I am anxious to try and locate the boots. Before you know it, it wlll be riding time up here again....

I bought these boots for "duty" when I first became an EMT. Once my fire department supplied me with my uniform boots, these Rocky boots became my new biking boots. They're great!! Good price too.

I haven't had them on yet while riding in the rain, but I've walked through lots of water with them on with no problems. They're also available in a taller-calf version as well as with a zip up side version. They have other styles that would work well too.

One note... I border on a wide-width shoe (usually getting away with a medium), and this pair of boots ran a bit narrow for me, so I had to exchange for a wide width. Just a heads up.
