acceleration vibration

#1 Unread post by t_bonee »

Hi all,

I got out for my first ride of any significance today and I noticed that when I accelerate the bike kinda vibrates. Not real bad. I just feel it in my butt really and the bike itself doesn't seem to be shaking. It only happens on acceleration. At a steady speed it is fine.

Think that is due to the fact I prolly need a carb cleaning? Or could it just be part of the personality of the bike? I also noticed that it only smokes out of the left exhaust pipe for those that remember the other 'smells of gas' thread.

need to get the carbs synchronized Tom. sounds like you are still getting a rich condition in either/both one and two cylinders, resulting in uneven combustion pressures. Getting your carbs sync'd should fix the vibration and the overly rich cylinders
