is quite interesting...

I slid about 100 feet today and put some decent battle scars on my leathers.

As I was sliding with the g'ddamn bike on top of me, I was pretty confused what was happening.
"whoa... what the hell am I doing??"

"oh the bike is on top of me."

" my knee hurts"

"my hand hurts"

"my back hurts"

"my shoulder hurts"

"wtf?"

"OH "poo poo" I JUST CRASHED!!!"

I came out unscathed. (my bike too)

Glad the bike's ok! Oh, and you too! lol Aren't you glad you wear protective gear! lol Anything else go down? Figuratively or literally? lol Well I'm glad you are alright!

Glad you are ok man. Any idea what happened?

Thats a scary ride. Glad you are ok, which is most important, but its great your bike came out in good shape as well. Riding gear works.

I guess "lucky" might be a way to describe it. Glad you didn't really get hurt. Hard to believe that there wasn't more damage on the bike....

I'm guessing the bike doesn't have that much damage is because it sat on me for half the time and disembarked on its journey through the concrete only for a short time.


I hit the front brake hard after being surprised by an animal but hit at the exact wrong time as I was going through some gravel and ate it hard.

I learned a good lesson today: don't ride in the dead center of the road

Was it a big critter or a little one? To put it another way, could you of safely turned it in the makings of road-kill stew?

To be honest, I did the same sort of thing once, hit the binders and dropped the bike when a cat ran out in front of me......the next time that happened, poor old moggy lost all nine of its lives, and I lost my lunch, but the bike stayed up right.

Not sure how you walked away but glad you did. What happened? Why did you start sliding?

I usually ride in the center because I feel it gives me the most amount of time to maneuver should a wild animal come charging after me. Why do you feel the center is not safe?
