Can either of these bikes be taken off the asphalt?
I am not looking to do extreme off-roading, just a dirt back-road.
It's everyday use would be short distance commuting.

The question isn't can the bike be taken there? It's can you safely ride that road?

i ride my bike down dirt roads in my residential area quite often. just be careful with your turning and throttle control. the rear wheel will obviously get a little loose
