Don't know about the Brasso. I use Mother's Chrome Polish and it works great.

Brasso will work just fine, tooth paste will work just fine, Glass Wax will work just fine, rubbing compound that takes out swirls will work just fine but I think products that are made for a certain job work best doing that job, all of them are a really fine grit product and will work with in their limitations, products like Brasso and all the others have additives that make them do their designed job better

I use a product called NevrDull. It's cotton wadding that comes in a can. We used to use it in the Navy for polishing and shining brass. Works really good.

I would think Brasso would be too abrasive.

Stick to Chrome polish (Dupont)
Mothers has a chrome polish too.

NevrDull is the best stuff out there.

I used to work at a hardware store and dealt alot with Brasso v. Other Brands. NevrDull always came out on top.

Brasso is a horrible product that doesn't work unless you put a lot, and I mean, A LOT of elbow grease into it.

Ye can try it on a un-noticeable patch.... But why not just buy some chrome polish? it isn't really that expensive
