Suzuki GSXR750 Slingshot

After many years away from owning a motorcycle, I have just purchased a 1988 GSXR750J Slingshot 36000km in brand new condition. It's all orignal except for after market full exhaust, Ohlins rear shock, custom small indicators and rego plate holder. No photos as yet but will have some soon. Is this a good reliable bike and what are the main things that can go bad with it? I purchased this bike as a daily runner and also for some runs of up to 500km with my wife. We are both small to average size and weight 78kg and 55kg.
