NO I have got the bug for another Motorcycle , I have not sit on one for 30yr and have been thinking about a Honda Goldwing, but don't know any thing about them exsept for what I have looked up on the enternet. I love the thought of getting on the road again . Hope to visit with you'll and get more up to date on these newer Motorcycles

Howdy, welcome to the forum. I would suggest that you check out the new rider tips post found elsewhere on this forum. If you haven't been on a bike in 30 years your riding skills would be rusty to say the least. Check your community college to sign up for the MSF riders course. Think about getting a smaller bike to start out on, get your skill set back up, then move up to the Goldwing. Good Luck.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Johnj is right, a refresher might help you out more than you think.

One statistic I don't like, is the mortality rate amongst the "older, returned to riding" group. Being of that group myself, I decided to start out on a bit smaller bike before stepping up and getting that "Bike of my dreams".

So about 4 years ago, I picked up a very friendly '95 1100 Virago. Easy to reach the ground, yet big enough to keep the boy in me happy. As much as the bike had a fair sized motor, it is basically a "small(ish)" bike. I moved up to a Valkyrie a year and a bit ago because I needed a reliable and comfortable bike for a long road trip down the Oregon coast in the fall of '06, it also did well on my 14,000+ kilometre trip across country this past summer. Now I feel like I'm ready to get that dream bike, (if only the bank will agree with me..."
