I was driving past the DMV yesterday and decided to stop in and take my learner's permit test. I had read through the book several times and figured what the hell. Here in Wisconsin it was snowing and cold and the examiner looked at me kinda funny. I passed it with no problems. 24 correct of 25 questions. So now I have another step out of the way but along way to go. I cant wait to have my bike delivered. With all the snow we've had this winter i feel the riding season will be delayed some. I'm also signed up and going to start my MSF course the second week of April.

I found an excellent deal on a '07 Yamaha Virago 250. I'm putting off getting it delivered as that would make me even more anxious to get started.

I wish i could've started on a 250, but stupid TN laws kept me held back to 125cc

Power doesn't matter in TN, as I recall. It's about the size of the engine itself. So no, SBK couldn't have gotten it restricted. HP restrictions are largely overseas. In America, they're largely unheard of (I could be talking out my "O Ring", but at least in New England that's true).
