Back in the saddle ....sort of....

Hi ladies. I finally feel almost healed enough to ride my bike again. I put insurance on my bike today and went for a short ride. 20km. (12 miles)
Even though I was a bit apprehensive it still felt good to be able to go ride again. It didn't take long, though, before I started feeling some aches and so I decided not to push myself and went home.
I lay down with a heat pack on my shoulder and promptly fell asleep for an hour. Who would have thought that such a short ride could be so exhausting.
I will need to build up my stamina if I ever want to go any further than my next door city.
I had wondered how I would react to riding after my crash last year. I think I managed quite well...all things considered.

Good for you, Blues! Before you know it, things will be back to normal. A little bit of apprehension is good for keeping us safe. Glad to hear that you're back in the saddle!
Cheers,
Loonette

Thanks. The colour blue in your bike is similar to the colour blue in my bike. It looks good.

Thanks, shorts. I'll be out again on the weekend when it's dry out. It's raining too much today. Once I get my "skills" back up to snuff, I'll go out in the rain.
Besides....I'm not up to all the bending and reaching and twisting that would be required to wash the bike after riding in the rain.

The boots are SP1 (model Fusion). They are a men's boot. Jim Pattison Suzuki on Kingsway near Royal Oak is selling them.
Waterproof and reasonably warm.

blues,
Good to hear you're getting back on your bike.
Take it slow and easy. I can understand being a little apprehensive.
I'm going to need a role model for when I get back on mine.
