Brand new biker, fresh of the farm :)

#1 Unread post by ajpupper24 »

I am a new biker, just started riding. I just bought my first bike, a 2006 triumph speedmaster and love it. I need engine guards for it. I just found out they are also called highway bars, and crash bars. I am having a heck of a time locating them outside of the dealer. I really like the lindby ones but they don't make them for this bike. Does anyone know where I can find some at a reasonable price. If I pay what the dealer has, I would like to have something a little more different than just the original look. I already have leather saddle bags, windshield, and some custom pipes. I am slowly on my way to having everything that I want on it. I am also trying to find footboards and a different seat. I want my girlfriend to be able to ride eventually when I am more comfotable. I have the stock seat and a sissy bar with back rest. I am wanting the seat the has a backrest for me and for her and a little more padding for her as well so she won't hurt so bad. I am sure I sound like a newbie because I don't know all the terminology for bikes, lingo, etc. Break me in guys. If anybody can help me, please do. I am open to all suggestions, advice, and positive criticism.
I just bought my very first bike and am new to all of this. I am soooooo excited. This has been my dream since I was a little girl. Now at 30, I am finally living my life long dream.
