not doing that yet. still at the diner... soon, after this apartment "poo poo"'s taken care of, I'm marching my "O Ring" down to the ambulance HQ and demanding (asking politely for) an application, after I hand in the one for the fire department. Would rather not be starting a new job AND moving at the same time.

I find it very refreshing that you put the (asking politely for) in there. I always find it humorous when I talk to my co-workers and their like.

Yeah my boss asked me to work overtime and I said to him "Yeah right I'm going out on the weekend." or "Why would I want to help YOU". When it turns out the actual repsonse is usually "Oh *inhaled breathing* *ssssssss* I wish I could but *exhale deeply* you know just...wow...I'm... I mean if you asked me yesterday you know...I MEAN YESTERDAY I WA*nervous laugh* but yeah.."
