I just bought a pair of aftermarket signals to replace the ones that weren't on my '75 CL 360 when I bought it, they have two wires coming out of them but the honda diagram calls for three wires into the front signals (there are just two on the rear signals)

What's the third wire for? is it for a running light shorted to the headlight? do motorcycles normally only have front running lights?
