A very expensive ride

#1 Unread post by cb360 »

Here's a link to a new article about the Cleveland Brown (NFL American football), Kellen Winslow Jr., who bought the 600cc sportbike and wrecked it in a parking lot... ending his season before it started with a torn ACL.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/s ... id=2069017

As predicted, the Browns are going to withhold 2-3 million dollars of his pay for violating the clause in his contract forbidding motorcycle riding (and skydiving etc.) without approval. The article points out that he was doing wheelies at the time and that there's a video. I doubt it's on the web though.

its worth than just with holding payment, they are going to with hold his next scheduled payment. but they are also going to make him pay them back 2-3 million which is alot worse than payment being with held. chances are hes already burnd through all the money hes been paid so far, or has enough debt that he needs that money. now its going back to the browns.

Yep. As stated many times before - great bike, just not usually a very good bike for the beginner. A little more expensive for this guy than most though. But hey, he's still alive and probably still has more money than most of us. Hope he didn't ruin his whole career. He got pretty messed up and was in the hospital for a while just from riding in a parking lot. Lots of people come back from major knee operations, but some don't. the NFL is not a good place to lose half a step. I reckon he's learned his lesson.

goes to show that 'big guys' dont need the higher end sport bikes like they all seem to think they do. this guy is pretty big and the bike showed him whos boss easy. but sad part is every kid will prolly see this story and think 'wow he rode that bike, thats the kind i need to get!!'.

i started sobbing uncontrolably when i read this heartbreaking story--now he will have to wait to get his high end sports cars and his entourage of parasitic stooges--his stable of hos--and how on earth will he acquire his drugs.sad indeed.

i was watching the news the other day, they had prior security camera footage of him doing stoppies...he is the quintessential athlete with money who thinks hes a god. he deserves having to give the money back.

On the bright side, his being in the hospital may provide an opportunity for healthcare workers to locate and install in him the missing parts to his brain that caused him to behave so strangely.
