'98 Honda CBR600F3...

#1 Unread post by IHateRacing »

Hey all, i just got a '98 CBR600F3 for my first bike. I've been out the past two nights for several hours on it, and its an amazing amount of fun. I was just wondering if this bike is classified as a "600cc sportbike?" I've ridden dirtbikes and four wheelers all my life, and this thing still has an absolutely AMAZING amount of power. I scared the hell outta myself once or twice, but a little bit of fear is a good thing...isn't it? I definitely would not reccommend a 600cc sportsbike to anyone who hasn't had years of experience on bikes. I read that this bike does an 11.3 @ 119mph in the 1/4 mile. I was just wondering if anyone knew what the fuel economy was on this bike? Just thought i'd share my first experience of ownership of a street bike with everyone. Later guys.

those are good bikes. yes its a 600 sportbike. though the 600's have come along way since 98.

learn as much as you can about street riding. motorcross is quiet different from road racing.

you dont have to have a high powered machine to have fun. just working the bike quickly and safely down a twisty road can leave you with a grin.

i would rather have a 250 sport then a larger bike for the twisties/canyons.
now lets go drag some knees :D
say what

My '05 CBR600F4i gets around 45-50 mpg if I take it easy on the RPMs in town.
