While I agree that taking the MSF course before getting on a bike on your own is a good idea, common sense should have told this guy to just let off the throttle. No MSF course will teach common sense.Orion9 wrote:This is why you take an MSF course first!

Nah, the first time on a bike is scary for anyone. Starting with baby steps via the MSF would have probably prevented that.NewGuy wrote:While I agree that taking the MSF course before getting on a bike on your own is a good idea, common sense should have told this guy to just let off the throttle. Too busy showing off to his buds....notice the guy who ran to him holding a helmet?Flipper wrote:Why didn't the guy at least wear the helmet?
Can't say too much there. The first time I tried to take off on my nighthawk, I had a hard time letting go of the throttle too (Not sure why the tendency is to hang onto it, no matter what). Fortunately, I was in my yard, and all the bike did was spin about 180 degrees and stall out.common sense should have told this guy to just let off the throttle.
