Hey there, new to this site and posting on forums for that matter. Not new to the dirt bike world though, currently on my tenth or so. Bought an 2007 xr650l, really love the bike, but would like to start doing some upgrades, but am not sure where to start on this bike- any help would be great -thank-you

Start with uncorking if you havn't done it already. The bike is set-up very lean from the factory.
If you want a good site to visit for information and help go to
www.thumpertalk.com and click on "forums" near the top right, then scroll down to the Honda section where you will find a sub-category for the XR's. Great bunch of guys that will help and not make fun or toss insults like some other places on the net.

Thank you for the links to the web sites dealing with xr's, lots of good info.Will be trying some of the mods soon. Has anyone out there run any of the maxxis brand of tires? I am looking at a set and am not sure if they are a good brand or not. Thanks.

Which Maxxis are you looking at? Maxxis is the "upscale" division of Cheng Shin tires of Taiwan.
