Motorcycle at the NY International Car Show

I was at the New York International Car Show today and there was someone there advertising a special kind of truck back-end - it was a lift.
On that lift was a Motorcycle - like 12 feet in the air.
On that motocycle is a sign that it is for sale $2000 - once the Auto Show is completed.
All identification on this motorcycle is removed. They are using it for advertising purposes, so I imagine that it can't be seen as being endorsed by any company.
So, I asked about the motorcycle. The woman didn't know anything about the motorcycle.
It was purchased new. It has never been ridden, it was purchased so they could show off their bed lift (which was pretty impressive) - she doesn't know what it is or anything.
I have a picture, but unfortunately, my camera didn't make it all the way home today - so tomorrow I'll try and post the picture.
So, just in general - what are the chances that this motorcycle works? What kind of money would it take to condition it for running should I purchase it?

Thanks for any responses.
