It's a 2004 suzuki volusia with touring gear. Thought I'd register and start posting to psyche myself up for the riding season ahead. Not that I need to get psyched. I tried riding on the snow today (idiot) and almost dropped her (lucky bastrd).

Having decided that being destroyed on the tamest of the tame touring bikes is not the most glorious way to go, I've stored her away. I hope that once the Canadian winter ends, we can all have a safe and enjoyable riding season.

:welcome2: to TMW.

You obviously don't live on the west coast....where are you that you still have snow?
By the way....2 wheels and snow....not a good thing. :P

Enjoy the forums. :)

Thanks for the welcome. I'm up in Ft. St. John, B.C. working in the oil patch. Should be good to ride for May I hope.

Ah yes....it would still be chilly up there also. Once the snow and ice clear and the temperatures rise a little bit, it will be awesome to ride up there.
Just keep your eyes open for moose and mosquitoes.

Welcome, I started riding last April and bought a 07 Boulevard C50. I wouldn't trade it for any other. Well not right now anyways. I hope you like your Volusia just as much.

Went for my real first ride today. Oh man it was awesome. A dog started chasing me and right at that moment my fuel ran out. I had to push my bike home.

Does your bike not have a reserve or did you just choose to ignore the warning signs of the sputtering? :P

It didn't sputter until the rottweiler was behind me. My bike actually has a fuel gauge, but I didn't know how to read it.
