1993 XV535 SINGLE SPARK!!!!!

Trying to re build a 1993xv535 virago all the wiring is there but i'm only getting a spark on one plug. I've swopped the coil wireing over and the other plug sparks, so I know it's not the coils. There is only one pick-up coil with a grey and a black wire. could anybody help me in solving this?

I'm not really good with these Virago ignition systems.

I'm a member there, and the guys who hang out over there are very very good at diagnosing problems with the 'rago.
