Anyone else taking the course this weekend? I start tomorrow night. Looks like we might get rained on over the weekend but that's what I get for living in Massachusetts, I guess.
I've barely been on a bike before but I've done lots of reading. I know most people pass, I just want to be one of them!

You will do fine. Just listen and watch. You will learn a lot...

I was just as nervous as you. It's hard to get to sleep the first night
But if you're taking the 2 day course like I did you'll have no problem falling asleep after you get home

I'm taking mine tomorrow afternoon. I'm not nervous...yet. As a general rule, I don't get nervous about most things.

Boy, that was exhausting! It didn't help that I had to get up at 5 am two days in a row to get there on time.
First day riding I dropped the bike.
It was right at the end of our five hours. I'd done great on my quick stops time and time again. . . until I didn't. Locked up the front brake and down I went. Even with my fatigue, it was tough to get to sleep. I was worried I'd lose my mojo.
Got back on the horse(power) today and it went fine. The instructors were also a bit worried that I'd let it get under my skin. They were very supportive and free with the compliments. I lost points on the box (which I knew I would - I just haven't nailed it yet) but everything else was excellent.
I'm sore, I'm beat, and I'm elated. What a feeling of accomplishment.
Time to get shopping!
