Yamaha XV 750 Starting Problem

#1 Unread post by brock »

My bike has a problem with starting. All of the starter gears are in good order @ the teeth on the rotor have little ware. I have replaced the spring clips @ spacer washer in the starter gear assembly. My problem is when i wind the motor over the starter gears throw out @ grind when it hits compression. When the plugs are out the motor winds over perfectly.I have heard there is a way of fixing this problem . Could anyone please help me ? Brock.

I personally don't know, but I bet the 'Rago experts at http://viragotechforum.com know.
