Which grips are your favorite?

Ok. This is really weird, but I have a friend who has these grips I really like. On his grips it says progrip and superbike. So naturally I did some research online to find that it's the progrip 699 model. I ended up going to the store and finding them but they actually looked different (texture) but the design and stuff was the same so I thought it was just my imagination. So I get home and what do you know, it's the same thing but it's completely different. His has a much better feel because it is made of a different material. I have provided a picture to show what I mean. As I mentioned before, I love the grips he has on them, yet I don't even know if they make them like that for the 699 anymore. So rather than try to figure out why this has happened (unless somebody knows off hand) I will just try to find others that feel good too. Can somebody recommend some grips to me? I have a yzf 600. Thanks.

Looks to me like they are identical.

Except his have quite a few more miles on them, thus wearing down the texture and making it smooth and glossy.

Well thats just the thing. It is the same grip, but do you really think that using it a lot will make it turn out smooth and glossy? Or do you think there is a better chance that there was a change in the manufacturing process since his was purchased.

Grips get worn down with use. They're rubber.
