Was rumaging thru the woods and found this bike w/ a tree growing thru the front spokes. The speedometer is in the headlight. The gas tank has a n embossed emblem that looks like a Z with a feather on top and an arrow passing thru the middle of the "Z" I have pics of it... not sure if I can post them here. Any help would be very appreciative. I can send pics if someone sends me an e-mail addy. Bike apperars to be 1920's-1940's?
thanks
mike

I doubt if I'll be able to identify the bike, but maybe somebody can.
go to photobucket.com - create an account and upload some images - then you can copy and paste the link in an Img tag in your posting and we'll at least be able to see the bike. Some of the guys on this site have been riding for more years than I've been alive and might know what the bike is.

Looks like JohnJ got it. Unfortunately, he didn't tell us what it was.

I was was at a bike show last weekend and there was an owner's club there with about fifteen of the little buggers on show.
It's a CZ (unsurprisingly), a czech marque. The company was nationalised during the soviet era and amalgamated with Jawa. Now it's owned by Cagiva. I think it had something to do with Skoda for a while, too.
CZ had some success with their two-stroke thumpers in motocross in the 1960s. I think they won a couple of world titles. JohnJ? Do you know?

thanks for the info, did some searching with the information provided and it appears to be around a 1948 model. Anyone know the value. I know the condition doesn't appear to be that great but... It's missing the rear tire and engine, and seat.

That's quite a grouping of pix you have there. Are they all in the same place, or do you just have an affinity for stumbling on rusted transports in the woods?
