How good is the 250 with a passenger? Is it even possible?

I weigh 130 lbs and the girl I want to take is probably around 105-110 or something. I want to make sure my rear fender wont catch on fire due to the back wheel sanding it down.

The EX250 can hold up to about 320-ish lbs. So have fun with the cute chick!

So with him weighing 130 lbs, he has 190 lbs to spare. Forget that little 110 lb girl, you need a big woman back there.

The max load isn't that much different from a small bike to a large one. In fact the max load isn't that much more in a Gold Wing than a small bike like.

That being said, a load definitely affects a small bike more than a big one. I have carried passengers on small bikes and it totally changes the feel of the bike. I have carried passengers on a Gold Wing(GL1200I) and it doesn't even feel like anyone is back there.

Its in the balance of the bike that a passenger really makes a hugh difference on a small vs bigger bike. So being able to take curves is reduced.

I should have mentioned that by not being able to take the curves as much I mean in a safe manner as you cannot control how much or little your passenger is leaning in the turn, so it's a control issue that could end up a safety issue.

Now if you put two, 2 hundred pound people on the bike, you may have a suspension issue as well, each bikes true max load is different. i.e. single rear shock, dual, and each shocks load ability.

Find the owner manual or call the local dealer and find out the current load spec's.
