Hi All,
Very happy to have come across Total Motorcycle.
Got my first taste of two-wheeled motoring on vacation at Acadia National Park. Rented a 50cc scooter and it was great fun. Compared to riding in the car on previous trips, I could see so much more of the scenery, breath in the fresh sea air, easier to stop along Park Loop Road for photos. That was back in October 2007.
March 16, 2008 - passed Motorcycle Safety Course
April 25, 2008 - bought 2007 Yamaha Virago 250 (3mi)
(Had to wait for temporary tags.)
April 29, 2008 - Virago delivered to our home
(I was away on a business trip and didn't get to ride the Virago until May 3rd!)
May 25th -total miles is 88
(first 50mi around the neighborhood)
Looking forward to riding the Park Loop Road again with hubby on our own motorcycles (We'll trailer them to Maine).

Acadia is beautiful and a lot of fun to ride! Too bad so many of the surrounding roads beyond that suck!
