I just found out about this place! So far ... So Good!

I have just got back into bikes after several decades of lay-off. The first bike I purchased was a Kawasaki KLR 650 back it December. It is a great bike for what it does, but it made me want that "something extra" for the street.

So I started looking for crusers. About three weeks ago, I came upon a 2002 Road Star Warrior with 1000 miles on it.

The engine is stock, with the exception of the Reinharts. So far, I am extremely happy with the bike. It has good power for a stock cruiser, good handling, great brakes, and the comfort level is good but a little tweeking of the handlebars might be in order.

The KLR has not seen many miles since the Warrior arrived. I got a feeling it will see its share of off-road duty, however.

Any Warrior fans here? KLR fans?

No doubt! I'm a KLR fan, even though I don't own one right now. I'll have one as soon as I find the deal I want.

Welcome to the forum! What part of the Old North State are you from?

I live near Elizabeth City. If I lived where you live, I would have had a KLR years ago!

I've recently been bitten by the dual-sport bug... again. I've only had street bikes for the last ten years or so, but I cut my teeth on Enduros... that's what we called dual-sports back then. The better paved roads around here have been getting a little too crowded lately, for my taste, so I was thinking some dual-sport riding might be just the ticket. Hopefully I'll run across a steal on a KLR soon.

Dual Sports are a lot of fun. Good luck finding one!

I have purchased three bikes off of Ebay: the Warrior, my 2004 KLR and a 2002 KLR for one of my employees. The 2004 KLR had 125 miles on it and went for $3700. I had to go to Brooklin, NY to get it though. The 2002 went for $3000 with around 3000 miles and we ended up putting another $300 or so in it. It came from Florida.

If you don't mind driving up north, you can get some deals starting in October or November.
